In July 2008 I went to Zhenjiang, a middle-sized city in East China and there I found three types of mailboxes. The first is green and white, just like the one in my hometown. You may find there are two "mouths", one is for the city and the other for these sent to other cities and towns.
The second one is a little different as the first one. People can send mails from the both sides.
This smaller one seemd to be put by the street twenty years ago and people have less chance to see such a kind of mailbox.
