Many thanks to Eric for this nice cover sent from Lyon, France, on which he affixed ten stamps. I always wonder what kind of stamps they are. There's no value, instead just a "20g". But they look really nice.

The stamps are what is called TVP "timbres valeur permanente" which translates as stamps with a permanent value - in this case for letters up to 20g. In the UK they are called NVI (no value indicated). It means when they put up the costs of postage, the stamps you bought earlier are still valid.
