FDC from Macau: Paitings on Church Windows

On the same day, August 30, a minisheet and a stamp were issued by Macau Post. Many thanks to my friend Lai Hongtao, who helped me quite a lot! Now I have both FDC's sent on the first issue day from Macau and Aland!

Largo de Santo Agostinho is a UNESCO Site located in Macau.

Praya Grande, Macau

Macau , also known as Macao is one of the two special administrative regions of the P.R.China, the other being Hong Kong. Macau lies on the western side of the Pearl River Delta, bordering Gunagdong Province to the north and facing the South China Sea in the east and south.

Macau was a Portuguese colony and both the first and last European colony in China. Portuguese traders first settled in Macau in the 16th century and subsequently administered the region until the handover on December 20th 1999. The Sino-Portuguese Joint Declaration and the Basic Law of Macau stipulate that Macau operates with a high degree of autonomy until at least 2049, fifty years after the transfer. Under the policy of "one country, two systems", the Central People's Government is responsible for the territory's defence and foreign affairs, while Macau maintains its own legal system, police force, monetary system, customs policy, immigration policy, and delegates to international organisations and events.

My friend Senbu sticked a stamp and an ATM-label on the card, perfect! I forgot one more thing that I should thank every visitor here and now the counter has already reached 8000!

Two FDC's from Macau

Actually these is a pair of two covers, which are on the theme the Year of the Tiger. One of them is franked with a set of five stamps, and the other with the minisheet.
Really very nice official covers, aren't they?
